Can someone tell me what is this black box just where the air enter, its not the air filter, I just dont know what it is.

I want to remove it and put my Condensator -> which is more a MOD catch can with a custom filter with sillica gel.

That was pain in the ass just to be able to change my PCV valve and put new tube to connect my catch can with the intake.

Now its done I need to find a spot for my catch can. The only spot I can see right now is where the big black box is, its like a dummy box for the air but I am quite not sure what this box do.

Can someone tell me what this box is?

I should receive my hayne book the next week but until I got it, I would like to know if someone can help me with that thing!! ?

This is my first step, later I will connect an HHO cell after the catch can!

Thank you! :)

nice build!  but i think sillica gel has a low saturation point, like my mom used to dry out her flowers in sillica gel to preserve them but shed have to change it because it stops absorbing water after a certain point.... im not sure but you might be better off without it because youd have to chage it fairly repaetedly... but the water catcher would work very well and looks awsome bt the way, all by itself

Hi!

The filter with silica gel is to copy the way the Condensator work, here a link of the product: http://www.condensator.com/

But they sell it 180$, way to much for a plastic container with silica gel filter lol

So I buy the catch can over ebay for about 50$ with shipping included, cool aluminum container, I made my own filter with silica get and voila a condensator clone!

This is supposed to be able to last very long, the silica gel don't really have a time life. Well on the condensator they last forever.

Update of my car with more photo:

I finally removed the big black box, its seam to be a useless piece of junk!

oh i think i understand now, the sillica gel isnt for absortion persay its for letting the air threw it and the water vaoer collects on it and dripps down, ok well for that black shit i guess if the car still works you didnt really need it, like my friends beater with a heater winter car man.... shit fell of that thing all the time, and wed be like welll... i guess we dont need that either!!  its amazing how much shit you can take off (or fall off) and the thing will still run, id make shure though that it deosnt have any adverse affects will the whole air fuel ratio, was there any wires or hoses coming out or in it??

my guess is that black box is an air silencer, you might notice the engine sounds louder, you most likely don't need it.

I am planning now to build my EFIE circuit, I want use the PIC microchip to be able to hack up to 4 O2 sensors, I will able to hack the sensor with more control.

Since the microchip I use can handle more, I want to create an intelligent pulse circuit for my future HHO cell  and show a lot of statistics on a big LCD (temp, amp, volt etc...) and probably other cool stuffs like a Knight Rider (KIT) front light style but this is more a + value ;)

I was wondering if some of you know a cheap and good way to be able to get the AMP from the battery.

Also I want a water tank level sensor connected to show the % of the water left. do you know a cheap and simple way to be able
to track the water level?

I found some solution over the net but they in my opinion still need a lot of work and money to do it.

I want to build the circuit using less money as possible so more peoples will able to replicate it.

my mom is a maketing director for a home remodeling company, she just got back from chicago and brought me a whirl pool parts catalog home. in there their is alot of cool valves and "t" fittings, and also buttons that have bubbles on them!! there is also a water level sensor with an output that can be hooked up to an led, ill try to call them tomorow and see how much it is... also tomorow im going to try and figure out my o2 sesor wires and see what i can do about puting my electrolyser in there!

I find some cool circuit for water level sensor, its quite simple, take a look at this:

http://www.circuitstoday.com/?p=58

In this circuit they use AC current but DC work fine.

I cannot wait to learn more about the sensor you are talking about! Do you know about the price for this item? Sound like it will cost a lot.

I also changed my car, the CIVIC was too rusty, I decided to sell it and buy an HONDA ACCORD. I like it very much. I put my mod
on this car, was more easy to do it on this car because the PCV valve is on top of the engine. I will take photos about it today.

I also buy some stainless steel cup for the cell. I also dismantled an old 14" computer monitors to get the Flyback, to generate 35k volt for the cell. I want to test it with low and very high voltage to see if they are some signifiant change.
