Based on the information provided in this thread I performed two quick tests of materials.Store bought aluminum foil still allowed magnetic flux to flow through it.Rubbing a cardboard square with pencil lead(graphite)(size was bigger than the magnet used) until it had a layer of graphite a few atoms thick.Then I place a magnet on the side that was rubbed.And pair of pliers on the other side.
In both cases the magnetic field still went with through the material and I could sense no change in magnetic power(force).I was looking for a reduction(since the idea was that some magnetic field might be reflected) in magnetic force but found none.triffid
