Today I got smoke, and it scared me half to death.......  DC levels appeared with a duration that was maybe 1000 times the frequency operation, and instantly I saw smoke from my simple one transistor board, as I was adjusting a potentiometer that controls the frequency.

Like I said the secret has been cracked.....

You might want to read my previous post on PARAMETRIC excitation, and if you want to understand why DC voltage gets produced, read and contemplate my posting in "inCOMPLETE information on working SM style device"

EM

P.S.  Here's my setup. Resembles the hand held toroids that power the TV.  I won't even dare close the loop at this point until I understand why everything smoked when I barely adjusted the frequency a little higher (everything was running cold up to that instant).   One clue,  my output coils are different then the bias coils and all they are connected to are capacitors, and are pumped PARAMETRICALLY.  I can not stress that enough.

Congratulations EM! ... thanks for sharing

Could you provide the number of the "previous post", please?
And where is the "incomplete information" filed?

Thanks

Ron

i_ron,  look one level above this thread  (under Steven Mark's TPU devices)  and you will see the thread, it's towards the bottom.

I took a quick screen grab close to the magical frequency so you can see the crazyness that begins to happen.   Look how the peak start to "bridge" together.   As I get closer and closer to that frequency, more and more peaks begin to bridge together into a solid DC level, it's so awesome,  I have no idea why that's happening quite like that.  Also I should mention the buzzing is there, and the TPU gets loud and hums , and everything gets hot and I start to smell smoke.  It's some interesting resonance that's hit parametricaly,   and oh,  you think the magnet is for looks, not so,  the magnet is crucial,  if I reverse the polarity of it nothing happens,  it biases the internal laminated steel ribon in the area of the sector coils...

I'll tell you more later.....

This is exciting!  Congratulations on definite progress.  Does the input current increase?

@EM,

sound's intriguing. Looking forward to a bit more from your lab. BTW, is the core iron wire i.e. insulated wire or just a transformer type of core?

@EM,

Have you tried a multi turn pot for fine tuning? might allow you to get closer without frying your driver.

EM: your EMazing. I'm trying to follow along:
(http://www.phonecotech.com/OverU/EMsTPU1.gif)      (http://www.phonecotech.com/OverU/EMsTPU2.gif)

All that has been smoking is my MOSFETs. I do get to hear a high pitched sound out from my toroid. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with the magnet. My scope shots are not nearly as impressive as yours.

We'll keep trying. Just thought I'd let you know that you have got our attention.

Take care.

Hi EM,

That looks familiar! ;)

Try scoping across the transistor--I bet that you are getting a large amount of resonant voltage rise which is overloading the transistor  Either that or what I found was the closer you get to catalyst, large amounts of RFI and EMI are generated that interfere with the control circuits and might be causing your transistor to stay on far longer than it should, thus the smoke.

I am not so sure that parametric resonance is the only way to go; remember that I had similar results without it.  Most likely the odd effects are happening as a byproduct of the correct parametric resonance mode.

Just my $0.02. :)

maybe need to place the electronics in the center of the torrid? this may reduce the effect of the field on the electronics. Just a thought ;)

How can you alter the density of space?

How can you generate a rotating torsional field?

Did I work with you several years ago?  You seam very familiar?

I ignore your attempt to yank my chain...

The secret has already been cracked...

Really?

Update on the hunt for Steven Mark.

Finally, after using every trick in the book to get someone to surface, Steven Mark the real Steven Mark indeed surfaced and after a couple days threats and counter threats we covered a lot of old ground and parted as friends. I offered to correct any errors I made regarding statements I made here or at PESwiki.

Regardless what you might think of my tactics I succeeded in my mission which was to determine if Steven was still among the living and if so if there was any chance of revisiting the TPU project.

Steven is doing fine. Unfortunately he did sell the rights to U.E.C. as reported around the net. He cannot be of any help even if he wanted to.

There only remains one compelling question that I need clarification on and that is a statement Steven made to me regarding the U.S. Government taking ownership of the technology. Why would a private company like U.E.C. pay Steven a salary for exclusive rights to a technology that is restricted by the feds?

I can't see how these two conditions can co-exist.

If there is a National Security restriction on this technology there is little doubt that this site is being monitored and anyone openly disclosing such a technology is going to be investigated.

Hope I helped in some way with the video and what little input I could share. Good luck to the good guys here and may you bring OU to the planet!

End of movie

FreedomFuel was correct.   Second quesion: Because it can be produced in a manner that is safe and can not runaway even if looped.  Not sure they have figured that out yet...probably not.

Thanks for the info, I have also a question, he maybe sell the right but does SM have a patent about this device?
