new idea for the tri force gate concept?
« on: April 10, 2008, 08:56:34 PM »
I have a new idea for the tri force gate concept. What about sending the moving magnetic part up a slope and dropping it into the next gate? This can accomplish 2 things. First there can be a subtle change in the direction on the next gate working toward a complete circle. And second you could be able to bypass the direct repulsion if entering the second gate through a drop-in. anyone out there tested this idea yet? The only draw back would seem to me to be the ramps height to overcome / outdistance the repulsions.

This is exactly what I have been working on lately,  I'm using sets of 6 tri force gates, with a small descent into the next 6. my hopes are that a small increase of height-maybe 2 inches, combined with a triforce gate on the downslope will be able to start the whole thing again. mixed sucess so far, but the tests continue!!
