People have mentioned spin in this discussion...spin direction is relative.Take a ball mark two opposing points (poles) with a cross.mark in an equator of arrows in one direction.Now look at each pole and mark its direction of rotation  compared to equator rotation.One is clockwise the other anticlockwise........

Nope, both poles are rotating the same direction, that is the direction of the equator arrows. There is no such thing as "anti-clockwise". Everything is clockwise, its just your perspective and eyes that tells you differently.

When you pull the plug out of a sink of water it spins clockwise in New Zealand ( southern hemisphere ).In the northern hemisphere it is anticlockwise spin down the drain.This is why......at the equator there is no spin down drain

You must understand, the only reason you think it is turning anti-clockwise is because of your visual perspective. In this Universe, there is no up or down.

Here is an example of a car. When you look at the car from the Right side, and it is moving Forward, both front and back, left and right wheels are spinning clockwise.  If you were on the Left side looking at the car, all the wheels will look like they are spinning anti-clockwise. Because of your visual point of view change from Right to Left, your human mind is tricked into believing the illusion that the wheels on the Right are clockwise, and the Left are anti-clockwise. When in reality, they are all spinning the same direction.

b.t.w. your spinning water down a drain example is NOT TRUE. You are another example of a student with a horrible teacher that spreads lies and rumers....

The link you have on the spinning of cyclones and anticyclones and water in sinks is interesting but I dont fake it everytime i pull a plug out.I can see what you mean in the car example but the forward direction of the car is the result of a rotation that itself is modified at the differential ......

@mapsrg

The car example is very telling, but look at it this way.

Let's say you had a 1 foot diameter tube 5 feet long that was placed upright or vertical and full of water that is turning. The tube is suspended by chains so that you can go under the tube and see the direction of the water turning through a glass.

Let's say the distance of the tube was the to simulate the Earths' diameter. When you look under the tube, it is as is you were upright in the southern hemisphere.

Now as you change sides and move upwards you travel past the center of the tube (Earths' core) and end up on the other side. Now look at the direction of the water turning. It seems as though it is turning the other way, but it is not. The water in the whole tube is turning the same way. Only ONE direction.

So which direction does the earth spin clockwise or anticlockwise?
