Have a look at this one. No claims are made and a kit is promised.

I am pretty sure the ring have batteries, take a closer look, you will see the ring tape move, like coil inside are powered by batteries.

Yes, but what is he hiding behind that upright sheet of plywood?

If that ring was the only motive force, why have the sheet there and why keep whatever is behind it hidden, when he shows us the underside making a point there is nothing underneath.

one of the video show what behind the sheet and they are nothing so i believe its all embeded in the device

http://youtube.com/watch?v=9L05OOhpOSY

Also check this one, look at the bottom of the screen on the top ring, you will see the tape jump in a circle pattern like a coil, and when you look at all the ring you see this circle pattern in all 90 degree, so i bet between the coil its batteries :)

I watched videos 1 through 10 (are there more?) and none showed behind the plywood wall.

Obviously there is an accompanying rotating magnet of some sort on the other side that we can't see, causing the one we do see to rotate. Why have the wall there if he has nothing to hide?

Hi everyone I have had a look at this before Hans brought it up here.

The guy sort of explains it in his YouTube channel introduction
Quote
This is a disc magnet about the size of a penny being spun by a tractor device I invented. The black capture ring, which I also invented is used to hold the spinning disc in one spot on the mirror. The sound one hears is the disc rolling over the top of the mirror. The disc spins at about 22 degrees. However the degrees can be manipulated. In the video the disc is spinning about 7000 rpm. That also can be increased or decreased. The tractor device is approx. 1 foot away from disc that is spinning and rolling on mirror. The disc can leap to the bottom of a bottle cap and still keep spinning and then drop back down to the mirror never missing a beat. The magnetic coupler that drives the discs will soon be available in kit form.

He calls it a tractor device

That's what is behind the sheet of ply

As for the ring covered in black PVC tape... it must be permanent magnets with similar poles facing in.

These would keep the spinning magnet equally attracted and repulsed in the centre of the ring. He proves this in the video showing his hands  holding two extra magnets inside the ring while slowing squeezing it to one side

The unknown here is the TRACTOR DEVICE

soon available in kit form for you to buy ! !

Nice toy !

electrognet coil, makes the disk magnet reverse poles (spin) at about the same frequency its operating at

I have seen all these videos and there is definitely something behind the board. I seen a wire and a object from some of the videos but I can make out what it is. I would bet it is some sort of pulse motor which could be another advantage of a pulse motor. I think that concept could be used to capture and store energy along with the other ways a pulse motor offers.

maybe i should speak LOUDER because apparently noones hearing me...

GO RIP THE PAPER CONE OFF YOUR SPEAKER< HOOK IT TO A SIGNAL GENERATOR< PLACE A DISK MAGNET ON A FLAT SURFACE AND TURN IT ON> THEN ADJUST THE FREQUENCY UNTIL THE MAGNET SPINS !!!!!!!

You are welcome...

sm0ky2, I don't have a signal generator to test that but it does sound interesting and it also makes me wonder if it could be used to capture and store more energy that it requires to spin the magnet.

Do you know of any testing done on that? If so, could you post a link to one for me and others to read about?

I must have missed what you were trying to say before but you do have my attention now.

Thank you for making it more clear for me.

it wasts tons of energy, but its advantageous to THIS man because of the novelty of doing it at a distance.

a more effecient way to do this would be to put the coil (stator) directly around the spinning magnet (rotor) . get rid of the wall, the "retaining ring", ect.
