Magnet idea - light slit experiment
« on: November 05, 2007, 09:48:44 PM »
Hi All,

I've watched this site for a while and have an concept which would require testing via FEMM but do not know how to go about it.   Are there templates / instructions for using FEMM?

My concept:

Have you seen any of the experiments where light is shown on a partition where there are slit(s) and the waves of light are allowed to go through the slit(s) and then there are various wave patterns which occur after the partition depending on the configuration of the slit(s)?

I was wondering if someone had tried putting a magnetic source then having configured where it was exposed to non-magnetic parition with slit(s) in it and see how it performs to see if one could come up with a configuration which would be avantageous to creating a pattern that could be incorporated into a magnet motor.
