Any devices capturing energy from vacuum?
« on: December 02, 2013, 03:00:08 AM »
Hi. Can anyone guide me to a solid-state device or experiment that captures energy from a vacuum, perhaps a modified vacuum tube? I know scientist believe there's hardly no energy in a vacuum (10^-9 J/m3, http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuum_energy) but I have my reasons to believe otherwise given special circumstances. Yesterday I was briefly told that basically given enough heat (radiated heat by the chamber walls?), and an activation process, that vast amounts of energy will begin to swell from a vacuum. Thanks, any help will be greatly appreciated.
