Sorry to be the one to pop the buble on this one, but Permanent magnet motors have been in the mainstream for a long while, and this only means that its an AC motor built with permanent magnets on it, instead of relying solely in the electromagnetic induction.

It's just a name confusion, this PMM ain't OU at all.
