Gravity powered concepts [from panacea's university]
« on: September 10, 2007, 04:58:43 AM »
Hi Guys, please find enclosed the latest concepts provided by our on line university author Patrick Kelly.

Here are the original comments given to me By Patrick.

"two open-source gravity-powered generator designs which can be built by any back-yard mechanic.  These operate on sound conventional engineering principles, which makes them non-controversial.

Take the Simpson Flap Generator:  It has just one drive axle and one other non-linked free-running axle.  The power-generating components are just rectangular steel (or other material) plates of any convenient size and any thickness, with a steel bar welded along one edge.  The only other component is a custom chain, is now added to the D21 document to make it more specific.

The drive shaft rotates clockwise at one end and counter-clockwise at the other, so you can take your pick for driving a standard commercial generator.  This design is open-source, courtesy of Dale Simpson.  A small version of this would be great for presentations, demonstrating perpetual motion and power generation from gravity with the blessing of conventional engineering principles.

The second open-source design, the Murilo Gravity-Chain Generator, can be any size, any power, made of simple materials such as plastic pipes with concrete inside them, and gearwheels cut from food-chopping boards.  It requires some calculation on the part of the builder, but it also lends itself very well to a manufacturing process, which would interest potential investors."

Guy a correction has been done,

This is an updated copy of the D21.pdf document in the old one the plates of the Simpson Flap device would foul each other's stop pins if built overlapping as drawn, and there is revised  drawings with additional detail.
