@ Wer

Beautiful work, my friend!

I almost can't wait to get back from my vacation and to start winding.  Are you going to wind three primaries or six?

Warm regards,
Bruce

To ALL builders

i used 20 ga wire for all 4 coils and it took  about 208 ft
all coils are ccw  but bottom one it is cw looked at Bobs pics to see direction.

i wound the center coil on a Insulated  soda can holder, soft foam type.
a tad less than 3 1/2 inches across,  then fed the wire in  one winding at a time,
i also used a 3m contact spray adhesive to hold the wires in place.  it takes a while.

 thanks
 wer

Thanks a bunch Weri!

I just wound 48 turns of the magnetic bias.  A bit harder to do than it looks, but it came out pretty!  I plan on winding one segment a night.

Thanks for the info...you should post it on your thread, it may help others.

Warm regards,
Bruce

to all  i left the ends non shorted for future use.
easyer to short  than to un tape and quicker to get to.
all wires comming off core will have a seprate conection on the  abs plastic electrical box
that  i will put it in it will be12x12x6" my controller  will mount on top of box
with the 18v battery power supply that i will use.
will also have a verable  high/low bias control. have not built that yet.

thanks
 ;D

OK, I have to ask this question for prosperity and that way no misunderstandings. I 'think' I have seen two ways to wind this torrid. Secondary under the primarys and primarys under the secondary. Which way is correct?

If someone out there has wound  using  16 and 20, do you by chance have a winds count for each? I want to measure the length of one wind then multiply by total so I can make sure to order enough wire. All would be much helpful.

thaelin

ps. think that the coil here will yeild the total count for the 20. Really just need the 16 counts.

front and inter coil  is 48 turns 20 ga
the top and bottom is 32 turns 20 ga
(at that time could no get solid)
then the secondary  is 128 turns 16 ga  tifflon  silver coated  stranded  (my choice)
my 6 primarys will be 20 turns  of 16 ga  tifflon  silver coated  stranded  (my choice)
