Title: Overbalanced smot-wheel or whatever.
Post by: pinobot on June 02, 2005, 05:10:57 PM
It's a bit quiet so here's an idea.

Picture is a bit messy.
It might work because on the left side the ringmagnet is attracted to the ramp while on the right side de ringmagnet is repelled by the opposite ramp.
I will post some other designs.

Here's another one.
Works with metal balls.

Good idea. I like it.  :D

But I see a problem. The attraction will probably hold the ball/magnet in position, so it cant break free to roll away? What do you think?

But if it repels all the time, won't the ring weight at the 3:00 position float?

Pino,
why is the ball going from 12 oclock to 3 oclock to the outside  ?
If the smot ramps are built this way, that the ball goes from outside to inside
the ball will NOT go from 12 oclock to 3 oclock to the outside  !

Regards, Stefan.
