Vortex
« on: July 29, 2007, 04:31:19 AM »
Recently I found some paper on the internet reguarding vorteces and whatnot with a few inventors and there apparent experiements on vorteces.  One of the them tried it with water and apparently when he spun the water fast enough, at a certain point overunity effects were noted at the turbine located at the bottom of the container.  Another tried wind and got similar results.  There was also one with a magnetic disk or something like that where it got spinning so fast that apparently it shot off into the sky and was never seen again, after that I started questioning the validity of the paper.  But I haven't seen any real experiements with vorteces myself, so I figured why not try?  Anyone else hear or read of vorteces exhibiting strange behavior?  I plan on replicating that water experiement, or, after I read a recent post by Grumpy about how spinning a magnet and creating a magnetic vortex, the magnetic vortex.  Anyone else interested?

This may sound unrealistic and it probably is, but if I could get a 1:2 gear ratio with two little plastic gears, then get 100 of those 1:2 reduction set gears, you would get an insanely fast output speed or torque, depending on which way you drive it.

So, 2^100 = 1,267,650,600,228,229,401,496,703,205,376

I don't even know how fast that is, but I think my calculations are wrong.  I don't even think it's possible to drive something that fast!  But no one ever found anything out by sitting on their ass...so I'm off to find a way to make super frictionless gear bearings and gears! :D

Have a great day!

well sir have a look at magnetic gears no friction and no contact between the gears and should be easy to make and cheep they should work as a magnet motor with a sticky spot magnets in repell so it only takes a tinny bit of power to overcome the sticky spot the gears will jump all the way around back too the sticky spot and zap agin with a magnet or a motor or wind or what ever  btw gears now are around 95% eff so magnetic gears with no oil or contact between them should have a much higher efficency well over unity so

my thoughts

oh here is the link just incase you did not see them  http://www.overunity.com/index.php/topic,2180.0.html
