Title: Magnet motor design from Hugo Hernando
Post by: hartiberlin on May 26, 2005, 10:13:56 PM
Hello Mr. Hartmann,

I tried again on sending the JPEG image via the forum reply but it was not
possible to insert it in the document. Therefore, I took the liberty on
sending you the images via this reply.

What you see on this image is a 3-D rendering of the original concept of
my magnetic motor. I think it may work, but needs more development. You may
coinsider this model as an evolution of the Bowman model (which I think does
not work). In this case, the idea was to put the magnets in rotation on the
yellow axis in order to take advantage on the moment of attraction only, and
when the moment comes, another set of magnets in the array will carry on.

I think that this model may come into equilibrium and stop running or not
running at all. Maybe by adding some magnetic isolation on the apripriate
spots and by increasing the lenght of the rotating magnets, it may look more
viable. By the moment, I'm working on a redesign of this same concept but I
wanted you to see this one and let me know your thoughts.

  Thanks again..

Hugo

Hi Hugo, the glitch with the wriong permission of the attachment directory
are now fixed,
Uploads via attachments should work now again.

Anyway, thanks for your simulation pictures,
but I think this concept will not work.

I have tried together with a friend many magnet-magnet
concepts in the earlier years but all were conservative.

Only when the rotor or stator is IRON only ,
there there will be chance, that a magnet motor could work.

Look at the MFT or at the new Butchlafonte.com
motor.
There the rotor is iron only and can move again out of the magnet
field due to field shifting due to the second rotor attaching and
shifting the center of attraction !

Try to design a motor which uses only iron plates or pieces as the rotor.
The it will possible to get something to work.

Regards, Stefan.

complexity of design exceeds 100%
