Tiny generator powered by ambient vibrations
« on: July 06, 2007, 08:06:38 PM »
Not sure if this is the best place to put this:

The energy is basically free, since the vibrations are already there anyway (from the person walking around, riding in a car, etc.).  If the magnets didn't pick it up, the energy would just be wasted.  I wonder if the magnets also dampen the vibrations?  Could this be used as a shock absorber as well as a "free" energy device?

@Omnispace,
I read about this yesterday, its nothing exciting.
The gawling thing is that the EU shelled out a whopping 14.3 million Euros on the project - what a complete waste of research money and effort.

Lets hope the Stoern project pans out OK as promised.

Regards
Rob
