When we stay for the "Generation X", so led us work for the "Generation Next":
the electricity consume, by KWH and KWp,shall be controlled,
not the " modern life " possibilities limited !
As "real life"-demonstration and example:
the energetical numbers of the    www.spacebox.info     , +- 20sqm modul :

room heating: 1,3 KW convection heater
kitchen/bath/light/e-machines : 4,0 KW(p)

Target: Optimizing the performance ,as first step,from 5,3 KW to 3,0 KW !
With commercial available devices like heat-pump, soft driver,Nega-watt-owen,
low-energy-refrigeration/-freezer,magnet-motor et cetera ... .

room heating step II, f.e.: 1,3 KW heater to 300 W www.larbombas.pt  heat-pump
kitchen/bath/light/e-machines s. II : 4,0 KW - 1/3 = 2,666 KW(p)
(you have not to buy the technologies, replicate !

p.s.:  the basic modul will then only need  a 3 KW-e-plant,
         the next question is :has this e-plant a variable output,with 3KWp,
         or does the home power concept also need batteries !?
