PV + Fresnel + SeeBeck
« on: May 12, 2007, 08:55:30 PM »
Hi all... First ignore my english but i have some issues that i want to post and discous with you...

I have tested the Fresnel lens aprox 400mm x 400mm on PV module size of 100mm x 50mm. The position of the pannel was in the middle of the focal point so the light was directed 2 times more effective than without fresnel. I got almost 2x effective output of the PV module on load of course. So in just to look calculation the efficiency of the PV module (Poly cristal ~ 12%) was about 20 %. Off course the heat was present much more than usual so i add Another PN system -> Peltier or reversed Seebeck effected to extract heat and again deverse the heat to electricity...

It was my first test on this matter but i think until i add $$$ calculations in the consideration ( how much i spend to produce 1W energy)  is much more to it that just one system.

Id like to know what you think or any sugestions... ! Nice forum by the way...

Peltier that work !. i tried this years ago.
If you can take the solar power from greater or 2 from this 40x40cm areas , than you can boil water over 100?C and drive an vapor-turbine
(condens the water again)  also some nice "solar using devices" you will find at:
 www.leebell.net

Pes?
P.S.  also "unpolished"english
