News from Steorn?
« on: April 01, 2007, 10:57:16 PM »
Nothing new on Steorn's website. They promised some announcements on April 1. Is anyone aware of some new developments there? Or what goes on with them in general?

They Postponed for next week, you can see it in Steorn Forum. Steorn has been very quiet the past week. Perhaps they are going to make some major anouncement.

Oh the drama!

Thanks chileanone. The frum you speak of, is that the Developers forum? I tried to login to that one, but my old user name/password doesn't work. I can't find a way to register with the new forum.

Did the scientists already get the devices to test ?

Why are they making such a long story out of it ?

The forum I mention is the one in steorn's website, it is reachable in the about steorn-Fun stuff section.

Stephan: They are taking the time required. This is too huge to rush it.

Chealianone: thanks, I found it.

Hartiberlin: I don't think they have a working device. They could never get it going. They want the jury to verify the theory on some kind of a demonstrator along the line of their "Steorn toy" (which doesn't work either, I might add). I'm pretty sure they are flogging a dead horse.

The interviews I listened to indicated they had three devices of different scale to confirm the scalablity of the effect. Maybe I misunderstood? Are these the toy devices you are talking about? Can't really recall which one it was, but he also talked about the accuracy of their measurements.

No one is closing the loop though. Maybe, doing so will cause the universe to fold up on itself and we'll all be gone. *poof* (c: OU has to be possible in my mind - just finding a form that will allow the effect to be used at a macro-scopic scale is the hard part.

i hate when a company make a lot of ads saying they have something that not working, i  did not even see any video of the device working...

i bet it's another hoax, if they have not closed the loop yet it's kinda stupid

we will see next week!

There's no loop to close in Steorn's approach, it's self starting, self sustaining, start stop motion. It could be classed as a PMM, but with a twist, different from all previous approaches, no sticky spot to deal with, the timing of the motion is everything in this device, beating the magnetic lag, in a tricky way, to go around the magnetic field gaining energy. This and much more has all been said in Steorn open Forum if you have patience to dig trough it.

Let's wait and see.
