Wow,
have a look at this !

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/448034/secret_science_anti_gravity_revealed_homemade/

Is this a fake ?

It seems to be real, if the people who responded can be trusted !

Man, if this really is this easy, there is no wonder UFOs are flying out there ! ;)

Regards, Stefan.

It seem's simple and cheap enough to try. It would make a great part trick. I am of to shops to get a can of drink!
I hope this does not turn out to be another TPU replication with 150 pages!

IF and I say IF this is real the material used would probably have an affect on its operation, the can and disc would need to be aluminum (pop can and disc, and the battreries would be used to create a charged space (magnetic field) which the cell phone is modulating.

Kind of similar to the device at http://www.geocities.com/nayado/

the design for the negative inductor device uses aluminum cylinders for the oppositely charged plates and the coil is "tickled" with an oscillator to create the negative inductor.

Just a thought,

of course IronHead maybe on target as well.

A lot of people on there are claiming they got it to work too!  But I would say its fine magicians cord on a pulley so when the can is moved in a certain direction the card moves with it, nothing more!  Is anyone going to try...

D.

Agreed about the card going up and down, but when it went sideways I did raise an eyebrow.  Guess it could be done with a servo mounted on ceiling.

Did anyone here try yet?

Quote
after tree days its finnaly workin
put the battery on the empty can at angle of 87.5
your should be a nokia atr frequency 800,001 MHZ
the battery on cd must be on the metallic side.
distance between battery on cd =3,5 inches
and very very important, all battery cellular includes must be full charged. and the experiment can begin.for me after tree days of patience the card levitate.. amazing

I'm 99.999% sure this works now. Actually, I'm positive it works but I just haven't been able to duplicate it, YET.

Okay, maybe I'm just fooled and I shouldn't be positive. What really started to sway me was the fact that I did feel some magentism and I did see the card jiggle. I know the magnetism I feel is real, but the coin is not magnetic so I'm not sure how it would levitate due to the magnetism. Maybe the jiggle was just shaking of the table that I didn't notice.

Here is a video of different guy, with different phone, clearer video doing it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twr-eucKhc8

I built it. When moving the can towards the batteries I got the card to jiggle a bit and I can feel the magnetic resistance to my movements with the can and the batteries line up with eachother.

I think the cell phone I was using may be too weak and I probably could have arranged the batteries better to make it work right.

The person claims the cell phone needs to be fully charged and emit a frequency of 800,001 MHZ. This sems like an error. I thought cell phones max emission is about 1990 MHZ. But a common emission is 800MHZ, so maybe he means 800.001 MHZ. Thoughts?

GSM networks operate in four different frequency ranges. Most GSM networks operate in the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz bands. Some countries in the Americas (including the United States and Canada) use the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz bands because the 900 and 1800 MHz frequency bands were already allocated.

dave was right, its a fake. The guy used magician's thread. It's thinner than hair, and clear. I believe they are individal strands of nylon. Like those halloween fake spiderwebs.

Check the guy's other videos he's pretty big fan of illusion, and magic tricks. No mystery here folks.
