Title: Buoyancy and Magnet

Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted on here.
I have a drawing for an new idea, it isn't complete but you can use your imagination to maybe help me complete it.


So I'm using buoyancy to lift a magnet inside a water tube. The tube is open in the bottom and sealed at the top. You probably could use pulleys instead to lift a weight outside the tube. But the idea in the picture would be a magnet to lift a magnetic weight outside the tube, somehow.
So the energy in would be to pump some air to get buoyancy.
Energy out would come from the buoyancy lifting a weight and the weight being dropped back down.


Thoughts?

The overall concept has been done in many ways. Is the magnet a solution or a complication? (rhetorical) It looks to me like you have tried to complicate a simple design that doesn't work.

1. The deeper you have to pump air in water, the less efficient it will be.
2. The pressure in your water tower will be less than atmosphere. It will help with inflating the balloon, but your problem will be at the top where you have to sink the device again.
3. The Magnet is an inefficient way to reclaim power when used like this. You would be better to use a mechanical linkage.
