Suppose we play a sort of “catch and throw” with 2 opposing coils:


One fires while the other is open,
Then we suddenly close the 2nd coil just about at the peak as the flux is passing
We ‘skip over’ the first part of the lorentz force
effectively leaving us with a net forward momentum upon the 2nd coil.


Perhaps a raft/boat with 2 speakers.
One driven by a power source, the other with a half-wave and a capacitor.
Or some variation of this of sorts.
