Powerful AC / DC Generator Build- Test Run
« on: March 03, 2023, 03:55:59 AM »
I mentioned in a few posts that I am building a larger style generator that has the ability to put out some real power to test and do my experiments with..  I'm sick of blowing up H-bridges and tiny pulse motors that output a watt or two ain't gonna cut it..  So I went pretty big..  She is working and working good!

-  2.25 HP Treadmill Motor
-  6x  40mm x 20mm Neo Disc Magnets
-  6x  0.4 ohm coils in series (thick wire) in epoxy resin
-  AC  and DC Outputs

With 12V DC @ just under 1 amp input, I am getting 35V DC,  29V AC open circuit voltage.  Shorting the output leads stops the motor and loads over 6 amps.  This Treadmill motor can accept continuous 95V DC...  So this baby should do everything I need to test my circuits..

See a demo-  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onBteHe8AWc

Note-  This build does not relate to Overunity in of itself.  Just building myself test equipment.

I would be interested to know, can you do a test using a 12 volt battery for your power source rather than a PSU, to see if you gain any more torque before and after shorting the output?

Cheers, Mike.

Nice build!   Your coils appear to be in a resin with small white objects also in the resin.  Are those white things just rocks or similar to fill up space in order to use less resin or do they have some other purpose?

My PSU only does 5 amps, so running off a big battery would be able to pull more amps and maybe it will not stop when shorted.  But the draw will go up for sure.  I will be doing many tests (at least I plan to).

Thank you Sir!  You guessed it..  Dollar Store decorative rocks.  I was cutting it close with my resin inventory..
