Well...insanity/genius....I have read that they are not always that far apart...and possibly for good reason. The sad fact is that being "insane" is usually judged by a society with sometimes arbitrary benchmarks. Tesla is one of my few heroes and I believe that, had he been born 20 years later, he would have been recognized for the full extent of his genius.  Of course, had he been born 100 years earlier, he would have been imprisioned as a nut case.  As they say, timing is everything.  If Bill Gates were born 100 years earlier, I am afraid he would have been classified as not competent.

I am not saying that he might not have been a little "off" in the last years of his life, but then, after what he had been through, who could blame him?  Just my thoughts.

G'day pirate and all,

I have never believed that genius and insanity go side by side. From my observation I would say that society cannot understand either of them and so judge them of like ilk.

Pity that.

Tesla was painted by some as insane because they had interests to keep
his technology away from the people.    Such as his  Free Energy systems,
or weapon ideas.

Heck, even Edison tried to smear him because he didnt want people to use
Tesla's newly developed  AC  current systems,  over his DC current systems.
He spread lies about how AC is unsafe for humans, and was very dangerous.
However, the power companies realized AC was more efficient, and went
with it anyway.

Just as today,  there will be people who will also label others as
Insane.   They will also Provoke the crap out of them, to get the
desired backlash results to 'prove' it too.

Hans:

Yes, I agree.  That was kind of what I was attempting to say. In reality, I don't think they are closely related.  But, as judged by a society, and depending on how advanced (or not) they are technologically speaking, the geniuses sometimes get labeled as insane.

Zero makes a good point as well. I remember reading that Edison used the term "Westinghoused" whenever someone got electrocuted.  And he also used this term at his demonstrations where they fried dogs, horses, and even an elephant to show how dangerous AC was. I saw a video of the elephant demo, it was cruel and a very sad thing to do.

I made my point. What point is that? The one where you shy completely away from the point made in my post due to the fact that the subconscious aspects of your physical and mental construct (mental aspects, physical and wiring wise) completely shy away from anything that threatens the inner monkey that is you. It just goes to show you exactly what is in control. the hindbrain controls all. Everything is in and out through...and controlled by the emotional basis of existence, no matter how much in control that feeble tiny thing you like to call 'you' likes to think it runs things. The intellect is a fool. It controls nothing.

well intelligence [or sanity] is the insights for survival, vitality, its the instinct to survive, Harmony and sustainability, true life skills which are intelligence. Tesla was about sustainability and a humanitarian.

Eat organic, use earth friendly technology, become communal and collective, (un selfish) and learn to SURVIVE this way. Tesla would agree for these things and did not try and dominate corporately and was concerned about sustainability and humans vitality.

Far more interesting is the case for the murder of Tesla i am adding that article and evidence to the panacea energy suppression page.

please consider the speculative case for the murder of Billionare GT Fulford as well (by Rockefeller/Morgan). This is apparently directly tied to Tesla.
