Title: Nikola Tesla's secret to invention

Good point onepower, from Daniel Cook who indeed spent 35 years studying
magnetism before allegedly stumbling upon the scalar effects, to Tesla and
all the others, it is so simple a child can understand......yes, but at the same
time SOOOO FREAKING DELICATE a team of 150,000 scientists may wander
in circles for eons and not get it if they don't know EXACTLY how.

I found some success using a different methodology many other inventors used in the past...

From around 1880 to 1950, prior to Einstein's physics, there were countless FE devices popping up everywhere. They had a different more common sense and independent mindset back then. They weren't preoccupied with math and equations but more so hands on experiments and deductive reasoning. They were truly free and independent thinkers because they were reclusive and most of the science we know didn't even exist. Thus they were forced to think independently for themselves.

Another aspect was Tesla's quote to "Be alone, that is the secret of invention; be alone, that is when ideas are born".

Tesla was correct and few if any of the greatest scientists/inventors held popular beliefs and they were mostly anti-social trouble makers. As Tesla implied, the secret is to be alone and cast off all others false beliefs so we can see clearly beyond any external influences. Indeed, this is the secret and logically we cannot do extraordinary things by blindly following ordinary people with common beliefs.

However it's problematic because many equate being alone and true independence as a contempt for others. Many have the "either your with us or against us" mentality which relates to religion, politics and populism. Many have the notion that we should be independent so long as we believe, think and act as they do or risk be branded as heretics. Even more dangerous is that many equate a rejection of most popular beliefs or opinions as ignorance. Thus we can begin to see there are countless elements in play continuously trying to make us conform to others.

Here is a methodology I have used and found some success with based on Tesla's notion "to be alone".
1)We should seek as much knowledge and understanding as we can but believe nothing as an absolute, always think independently.

2)We should always do real experiments where possible and approach them with a child like perspective as if we know nothing. It is this presumption of thinking we already know the result which biases our thinking and observations. If we go into an experiment with an open mind considering everything we observe as new with no expectations the odds of learning something new increase exponentially. This is true because we question everything from a new perspective. Always ask how and why?...

3)Make mistakes, contrary to popular belief most discoveries were made by accident and blind luck. We are creatures of habit and copy what we see without even knowing it. We do the same things over and over and it's only when we do something different that the result can change. As Viktor Schauberger said, do the opposite of everyone else and you will be on the right track. Do something completely different, make mistakes and learn from them.

4)Always use logic and deductive reasoning to our advantage. We could ask, if the successful inventors claimed the technology is easy why can so few replicate it, what's missing?. I have found knowledge and understanding helps but it was curiosity and questioning everything with an open mind which mattered most. Logically if the inventor knows something we do not then we missed something. Thus it's not a matter of making something work it's finding that missing piece of the puzzle.

Like me?   :)
True, there is one difficulty. It is difficult to embody in metal alone.

I agree with most of what you said.
But if that was 100% true, why are we on forums like this one?

I have worked in a large engineering company for over 40 years
and noticed two types of the best engineers.

The first was the engineer that would come into the lab and
sit down and hand build circuits themselves at times.  For a
long time I saw them as the best of the best.  But then their was
the engineer that very seldom came into the lab.  But when
you looked at their patents and other work they had done, I found
out that they were just as brilliant. Now I am not saying all engineers
are brilliant, just that there are two kinds of brilliant people.  Also
you do not have to be an engineer or scientist to be brilliant.

I think we need to be inventors wearing many hats with an open mind.
We need to always be asking why things work they way they do?
We need to ask is this the state of art for that technology?
We need to ask is there a better way to do this?

When we do come up with a different way of doing something
then we should sit down at a workbench and try to get a crude
working model of that.  Tesla did a lot of bench work.

For the engineer that does not come into the lab to do the
physical work does have other people to do that work for
them and then reviews the results.

I have personally been convinced that something had to work.
Then I build it on the bench and found out that I was wrong.

So why is forums like this one so valuable for me?
I see things that people are doing that I have not even thought of before.

What I like most is to see experimental results of the work that
people are doing because then I do not have to replicate that
test in order to increase my knowledge base.  I like it when several
tests are done and I can see the results with more understanding.

So I think we need to be a "Tesla Plus" today to increase our understanding.

But AC, you are correct in that in all we do we need to do it by putting
away our biases and proceed with an open mind.  Then to do as much
work on the bench that we can.

Then we need to share those test results with other people so they
can benefit from our work as well.

I wish there was an easier way of searching the testing done for FE
and to access the test results of peoples work.  I do not know how
this could be done.

I think you nailed it here...

I have figured most of this FE stuff out and seen working technology. However like most we always seem to hit a wall where our learning and progress stops or slows down dramatically. It's an intellectual wall where we cannot know what we do not understand or can even imagine. As such I'm here for the same reasons you are looking for new ideas, concepts and inspiration.

In this respect most are just rehashing old ideas and repeating what countless others have already tried. However every now and then some creative person comes up with a completely new way of looking at things. This is what I'm looking for and the more off the wall the better. Not that I believe anything outright, it's the idea/concept that matters and no proof of anything is required.

As Tesla explained there's a methodology...
1)Find new ideas or concepts.
2)Run with these new ideas generating more new ideas/concepts from them.
3)Test the new concepts and if there's something to them find practical applications.

So we could see new ideas/concepts like the rungs of a ladder and if we can put enough of them together we can climb over the intellectual wall holding us back and keep on making progress.

Hello AC.
May I leave here this link to a document written by Alexander Frolov (Faraday Lab ltd) called "New Sources of Energy", it was published in December 2021 (and I did not see it mentioned on OU.com forum).
Plenty of inventions in there that apparently do work, may it serve as an inspiration to those that need it most.
Enjoy!

Madddann

Thanks for the document and there's a huge amount of good material there. Rexresearch has always been my go to source for new ideas.

I like Frolovs work and started looking at it around 2009. I also like chernetskii's work found here http://www.rexresearch.com/chernetskii/chernetskii.htm , Self-Generating Discharge Plasma. T.H.Moray and the Correa were using technology very similar to this.
