Calder vs. Milkovic...
« on: January 23, 2007, 01:41:19 AM »
...can be a possible multiple mechanical oscillator design( take a look and formalize the "Performing Seal" of Alexander Calder) versus the certified double mechanical oscillator(take a look at "Mechanical hammer with a physical pendulum").
So,give a look at   www.mcachicago.org/Book/Calder-txt.html    then at   www.veljkomilkovic.com/OscilacijeEng.html   compare and think about input  action(unbalance)  vs. output  reaction.

....if  you take an attentively look, are as from the same "portrait family" in a museum.

One plastic art comes from a new type of mobile sculpture("Performing Seal"-1950-Alexander Calder),as an appeal to think about a possibly new entry for dynamics.

The other (Milkovic),comes as a proof and an incitement to open this new entry.

Maybe, this new approach can help our topic...

   ...is simply a test(and contest,competition) of reactiveness,sensibility for a same basics design,scheme.

For a Milkovic's pendulum with a lever, you must use your hand to push pendulum.

For a Calder's "Performing Seal" , you can read,on the site, that the mobile-stabile sculpture needs no more as "...the slightest breath of air"  for a "dance".

So,possibly we have good news:A NEW TYPE OF LEVER(AGE)?!
