In your first drawing the top two batteries would be in series(dead short). I can’t view your drawings from my phone at the moment but I imagine that’s the bang he is talking about.

Hi, I made the correction on my second drawing as you described I believe. Not sure you can see it on your phone.

Now I'm just waiting for the parts to arrive in the mail, should be here by tomorrow.

The middle drawing is how the top two batteries should connected.

Thanks for that, but in the video he says to flip the battery that's in parallel, so I don't know. We shall see.

The batteries were stone dead. You will  damage lithium batteries discharging that low. Don’t try it with new batteries or you may end up in the hospital.

That would be correct but your not going to find free energy by connecting batteries together.

So I watched some of the video explaining it.
Says to use rechargeable batteries and a capacitor.
So I'll be trying that when I get some 9v rechargeable batteries instead and a capacitor. I'm not sure what kind/type of capacitor to use, any recommendations anyone?

If you're interested in the diagram watch the video, fast forward to 15 minutes mark, the guy explains.  https://youtu.be/tBvon9JTpkg

So if you have 4 battery's wont you need them all in series to get 12 volts (3.7 will give you 14.8 off load)

but you can get 4.2 volt Lithium you would only need three of them to get 12.6 volt) but then you have to charge them  ;D
