Google ads for paying the hosting
« on: April 27, 2005, 04:00:38 AM »
Hi All,
I have just added to this forum some Google ads text links.

I didthis to support the forum and to get some revenue to
pay the hosting costs.
I only added TEXT links which load very fast and have NO banners !

The links are also right on the topic and show sometimes
really interesting offers and infos.

Many thanks for supporting this forum.

Regards, Stefan. (moderator)

Well, I did integrate now also the google search bar,
so you can directly search the google site from this additional
search bar at the top or the buttom of the page !
Give it a try !

Regards, Stefan.

Hi,
I would appreciate a few more clicks to visit our sponsors.
This ensures to pay the hosting fees at the end of the month.
Many thanks for your support.

The clciks did not rise,
for eample:

 7th May 2005:

1.619 impressions
and just   34 clicks that is just only  2,1%

Please try to at least click one ad sponsor per visit.
Many thanks.

Regards, Stefan.

hey stefan,
i appreciate what you are doing with the forum etc, dont get me wrong

but

i thought the reason from moving away from the yahoo groups was to get away from having to click through annoying ads everytime we wanted to view a post.

Yes, Kane,
but in this moment I have to pay myself the hosting fees.
So I thought this little TEXT ads, which don?t consume much loading time
will help to finance the hosting.

So it is not much hassle to click right mouse key and
open in a new browser window at least one ad page per visit
while you read the news over here.
This will really help to pay the hosting fees.

Is this asked too much ?

Thanks for understanding.

Regards, Stefan.

I'm curious, Stefan. Did Google contact you, or did you contact them?

Atomiverse,
everybody, who has a website can apply for Google ads.
They look at your site first and then decide to let you into their ad
program.
