The conspiracy is real

Veritasium, This video is about stuff: light bulbs, printers, phones and why they aren't better.

I thought this was interesting that most modern corporations are colluding which is illegal. In fact they either monopolize a market or collude to control it at the consumers expense.

A better question is why governments do nothing to stop it knowing it's an environmental disaster, illegal and a scam?. Well obviously the governments are in on it and if there economy ever stops growing the whole shit show collapses in on itself. So we can see how on almost every level the system is designed to prevent change and hold the status quo.

1)Governments promote monopolies and collusion to corner markets increasing profits, GDP and unsustainable growth.
2)Corporations create monopolies and collude to increase profits at the consumers expense.
3)The consumer always pays to subsidize the corporations who have no interest in making anything better.

In the big picture it's a catch 22...

Unlimited unsustainable growth will destroy the environment and mankind but the moment growth stops the economy will collapse producing a similar effect. The governments have no choice and are simply slaves to the system, the corporations have no choice and are also slaves to the system and only the consumer can decide whether to buy into a system designed to destroy itself or not.

In effect we decide whether to support a system not in our best interests or not and we do have choices, our choices as consumers matter...

Regards
AC

I suppose we could choose to not have all the stuff.

Or choose to make our own company, and not play by their rules.

Or we could choose to make our own stuff.

Each of these have a cost.

It may be better to choose to force our government to force the
corporations to make better choices.

It used to be about prestige, pride in your product.
Profits were secondary, and many of those products still work today.

Things today are meant to be replaced in short time.
$$$

We could choose to blame it on the investors who do not want small profits,
and blatantly could give a rats hair what the product or service is, so long as
they make their profits.

Open discussion of it does matter / is a starting point, and of course there is
the man in the mirror.

Theres only one place the road leads to.
They get all the money and we are left striving with our labor
just to have what we need to survive.

I'm agree with you sm0ky2, I think there are very few people in the world that work to evolve humanity in the good direction with the technology to help the life in each day and not control people and their future.
