Power psiphon for weak generators?
« on: August 20, 2020, 07:02:43 AM »
Forgive me if I sound ignorant. I was a very involved member many years ago but I've been gone... Probably a decade now. I can't believe this site is still here, and somehow hasn't changed at all... Why hasn't this website (full of brilliant minds), still not adapted the forum to mobile technology? Lmao.

Ok the topic:

I'm planning to build a variety of generators. Tinkering really. Going to combine wind, gravity, and magnetics into one fluid small scale generator as a learning project with my 14yr old who loves to flex his head muscles with me... But I don't know how to psiphon off energy. I know that once I start drawing energy it'll act like a brake on the generator, so to make it work, I need to take pulses of energy and allow the generator to speed back up before taking more.

Can anyone educate me on what such a circuit or device would be called?
