Can anybody identify this permanent magnet motor?
« on: December 30, 2018, 10:09:43 PM »
Hi all,

I recently came across this 2-part video on Youtube of "how to build a permanent magnet generator" and the video looks very interesting. I'm trying to figure out if it's legit or not so would like your opinion on it. If not, why not?
There are the 2 parts of the video:

Part 1:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWmrEEmi3e0

Part 2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Bm1suxxfO4&t=626s&index=10&list=WL

Let's see what you all think.

Mitch

looks like an axial flux motor to a T used for home made wind turbines originally made popular by Hugh Piggot if I remember my history correct it has been quite some time hope this helps. At least what is being made at the end of Part 1 I wasn't able to sit through all of it...

Needs further investigation by me but at this time this is the design that appears to be being used.
