Title: Gravity assisted pulse motor generator
Post by: burnit0017 on November 21, 2018, 09:56:58 AM
Hi, I started a new project that may produce more electricity than it uses to operate. I am combining a pulse motor an a over balance wheel to drive a PMA. The PMA will use a PWM cap dump circuit to reduce the BEMF at the output.

https://youtu.be/jKIWcJiJs04

I have already manually tested the PMA PWM cap dump circuit.

magnet pushes the moving weight toward the center. A one way bearing should be added to the moving weight to help the rotation.

Hii, Spring has return I am continuing work on the TSO gravity assisted pulse motor. I have fabricated many different configurations and the above device seems to be the best way to proceed. I will post results when available.

Hi, I will be combining the above configurations. I order a step up converter so I can booster 12 volts dc to 60 volts dc. It should be enough to keep the oscillation going. I will post results when available.

Hi, thanks for help. Basically I am just adding springs to the device. I plan to use a pulse motor to drive the pendulum. Thanks again.

I increased the pendulum length and deceased the the bob weight. Nice results

So the new coil is about 0.9 ohms. I will be using a starter motor relay at 12 volts to turn on the electromagnet with about a 14 amp pulse. Video shows simple method to reduce the arc at the relay contacts. Posting just for info.

Hi Go Vertical,
Your fabrication skills always impress me ,nice work.
Have you ever built a big heavy flywheel mounted horizontally , mount a pma to it,
Make it so it is weighted heavy at one point on it's circumference.
That heavy weight is a big magnet, the flywheel has to be able to pivot, a gimble joint.
Use the output to fire your electro-magnet to push the wheel.
Your pma can't have any steel in it , look at it like three in one , instead of one set of coils all adding together.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion.

https://youtu.be/nuBikcqf_Q8

I have to increase the capacitance at the delay capacitor bank so the Neo can travel pass the midpoint of the electromagnet before turning on.
At this time it is fighting itself because the electromagnet is turning on to soon. Thank again.

If you remove the iron core ,close the gap ,you should get longer run time .
And use finer gauge wire for your drive coil.
Not sure I'm right, but that's what I would try.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I tried them all on earlier projects. For a 12 volt system you need a heavier gauge wire for higher current and have as many turns as possible but then you increase the resistance. It is a give and take condition depending on how much power the mosfet can dissipate. Once a max current and matching mosfet is found then increasing the magnet size will increase the torque and RPM. Thanks again. I am replacing the pulse motor with a windshield wiper motor with a PWM dc motor controller just to get the device working.  The goal for this year is to measure the electricity used at the input and measure the generated power at the output. After that I can start making improvements

I changed the plan again, if this does not work then I will try the wiper motor.
