There is definitely a bit of a language barrier for those of us from Trumpistan (formerly Yankistan).  Luckily this is an international forum.  At least one of the languages should be familiar to the forum owner, and and another one to the guy selling the E-book.  ;)
Some of the devices in the pictures appeared to be hand-cranked electrostatic machines with a cover surrounding the disks and plumbing where the high-voltage outputs would be.  These are probably the electroid sources.  Two belts, one crossed and one straight were visible near the crank handle on some, a common drive scheme for two-disk electrostatic machines.
