Coil+IronCore Vs 2 Coils polarity
« on: April 30, 2018, 08:32:19 AM »
Why does an iron core take on the same polarity as the coil it is placed into?

Why does a coil not take on the same polarity as the coil it is placed into?

Looks like it's just due to the material they are made out of. Thanks.

Not the core material. look up how a transformer works and this will answer all question.

New question.

Where is the Lenz law in these two examples. The first example with the iron core is supposed to oppose the magnetism from the coil. However, it doesn't appear to oppose it to me. It helps it and makes the coil magnetism stronger. Where is the opposing force from the iron core that is supposed to make the coil magnetism weaker?
