A "golden fish" in your hands...
« on: December 02, 2006, 02:58:06 AM »
...if again, you take  a look at   www.veljkomilkovic.com/OscilacijeEng.html   ,search Fig. 1 and try to play yourself an easy, well adopted composition("remake").All that you need are a stick,a fulcrum and two occasionally  masses M1 and M2.  M1 plays as the "heavy " mass,M2 plays as a "pendulum".Slide them to and fro on the stick(a lot of attempts...),so to get the "fit" long time double oscillatory positions, and then "fix" them.Give an "input" to pendulum, and you have the Milkovic's invention demo "remake",before you,on the table. The occurrence that,it moves so easy, make us think about a fish in water, a "heavy" body-"pendular" tail system.By the way,is a fish  an "overunity" system?! If so,you have a "golden fish" in your hands, swimming in a gravity "flow",but in inertia over and above.Say him your wish for...and you will have it.All the Bests!/Alex...an Inertial Sailor

Hi Konduct! You are a N/A age person, with a "hidden" address,so the only way to provide you with  an answer is this "open" message.Relative to   "a fish swimming through gravity",it's a setting side by side of a real known case(a fish in water) and this real interfering lever-pendulum.One and the other are situated in a double fulcrum("support"),that are inertia(any mass in the Universe) and gravity(the fish afloating in a  "free" fulcrum, the pendular lever "shut in" a bearing). So,Milkovic finds a new way of balance, with a side by side method to collect this serial swinging. It can be an "overunity" process, with a damping decrement, without feedback. If we add this one...we can have a new state of affairs. All the Bests!/Alex

Two sticks game...
« Reply #2 on: December 03, 2006, 09:04:01 PM »
...is as simply ,as possible. You need no more than two fulcra and two sticks. The stick in the horizontal  position(set it with   unequal arms) plays as a lever,a balance for the stick in the vertical position(set it on the small arm of the balance),that plays as a pendulum.Animate the stick-pendulum and you have the entertainment. So you can simplify, formalize and get the ideas in your personal way, regarding Prof Milkovic's mechanical double oscillatory system.More, you can vary the double swinging of the pendular lever ,if you set up the vertical stick ,as a counterweighted  pendulum,in a lot of positions. All the Bests!/Alex

Hi Mramos!Try to think and test in a simple way:so we need two sticks(metallic, iron bars better) and no additionally weights("hammer" and pendulum). The sticks themselves play, have the status of the weights:at the end of a long stick ,you can dispose the small stick in a pivot(pin,roller...) so that can balance, swing as a pendulum. Then you find the equilibrium point(weighing operation) of this long stick, with a short stick(this will play pendulum) ,at his end.The long arm of the long stick plays as the "hammer".This equilibrium point will be the pivot for the two sticks game. So,we need two sticks and two fulcra(pivots),only.Success! All the Bests!/Alex
