Birkeland-Eyde reactor electromagnet
« on: July 07, 2016, 09:36:16 PM »
Hi,  i have been working on a high voltage project using a neon sign transformer running an arc in a glass chamber to create NO2, and then bubbling it through water to create a diluted solution of HNO2 in water.
I figured that it is high time that i get going assembling all the parts to test it out.

I just had one question, in the patent it say that a electromagnet is used to flatten the arc out but there are no more information about it.
Do you think i can use any type of coil or?
