The Problems of Moderated Threads
« on: March 08, 2016, 10:47:37 PM »
I just remembered that  'Moderated Threads'  exist on this website.

I have looked at some of these threads,  and there seems to be no  warning-sign or anything,  anywhere on the thread pages,   that it is moderated.

I have noticed that the title of these threads often contain the word   'Moderated',    but is there any guarantee  that all  'Moderated Threads'  will include the word 'Moderated'  in their title.
I found at least one thread that was known to be moderated,   but does not contain the word  'Moderated'  in it's title,   search for posts on the following webpage,   of members using the word  'moderated'  in their posts( because they thought the thread was moderated ) :

The Problem with 'Moderated Threads'
Obviously the problem is that if you post a new invention or idea( even if you yourself don't realize it's new ),   the  'Moderator' could decide to just 'delete' your post,  and immediately submit your invention or idea to the  patent-registry,  or send it to someone else who will do that.
(  And it could even happen to someone, who has temporarily forgotten that a thread is moderated  )

(  I have never seen a 'Moderate Button' when creating new threads,  I assume it's only for members who have been active on the site for a certain amount of time,  or if they've posted above a certain number of posts  )
