There is a host of evidence to support existence of the 'Aether'......It may be supposed that without such interaction, matter may not exist.  Perhaps it is a function of our speed through the Aether and vice versa that keeps us as vibrant as we are.

  you are much on track. Tesla's Dynamic Theory of gravity explains this all pretty much. The ether (a perfect incompressible fluid) is the medium that transfers all effects to or upon all matter (heat, light, momentum). The energy comes from his "Primary Solar Rays" or cosmic energy so to speak, which endlessly loops. It is this that powers all atoms and replenishes all inbalances in reactions for example. Tesla said that if we could shield radioactive material from these rays, it would cease to be radioactive. With this he meant that it is not matter itself that "decays" into Energy as per Relativist theory, but it is simply a medium for it to act upon or through, not really being the source of energy. It is this subtle difference, that makes the real difference. You can check this link:

The garbage chimney on the kilty sight sounds like the beginnings of our gallant attempt to build an elevator out of the atmosphere.  Did they know he was just kidding??????
