Transgravitor...
« on: October 20, 2006, 02:41:40 AM »
...can be a concise word for transformer+gravity+rotor. So,we intend to transfer a form of kinetic energy(translational, gravity fall) into another form of kinetic energy(rotational, angular fall) with a transformer, that may be considered as a simple "two-wheel gearbox".In a way, it is analogous to an electric transformer, this time with unseen but perceptible, recognizable  fields ,let's say "windings" (primary, secondary) and a common "core"/mass.A mechanical  likeness, parallelism is more important for us due to the fact that our transformer is related to an intended .. mechanical power deliver. The primary is comparable to the input shaft, the secondary to the output shaft. The input shaft/"wheel" is huge(gravity) so that we perceive and use it as an "falling"/accelerating rack-bar in permanent contact with our "tiny wheel"/the output shaft. No discussion about gear ratio...Looking to this arrangement as with "electric spectacles",it's as a step-down transformer;for us is more important to understand it as a multiplier gear,in which mechanical power is transffered from a large ("huge") gear to a small one.It trades  "current"(speed) for "voltage"(torque),by transferring power from a primary "unseen shaft" to our visible secondary shaft. The input/output power problem of this "gear-box" is not interesting,we are not engaged in an "overunity" search...anyway ,in a real world input>output. The self  knotty point,to put in a continuous motion this "transgravitor" is more engaging,a real soft gamble...if the things ,really appear what they are.Sometimes, illusion is a part of our life,a real/unreal questionable game with ourself. All the Bests!/Alex

...can be usefull ,as a kind of "sophisticated" term,as a concept ,as we see a tree in the nearby.A far and common view, for practicall purposes,of this concept, can be a certain arrangement  of the pendular fall in gravity.
The usual pendulum,in an up-down free fall ,is a real miracle.
This one acts as a mechanical motion transformer:vertical fall into rotational fall.A  "toy",a simulation, representation of a natural kind of motion of the Earth-Moon pair:fulcrum /pivot is the Earth, arm is the invisible gravity link, and bob is the Moon.
Not so very long time ago,Huygens used pendulum to keep time flowing in the mechanical clock.
But if we imagine ,to keep gravity power flowing, in a pendular design?
If we think about it as a mechanical power transformer?
For  the time being,it's a black box.At the input we have the gravity power. At the output we are waiting  "good news",power with "no charge".
Let's  open the box! What can be inside this wonder-working?

Field leverage...
« Reply #2 on: February 15, 2007, 06:58:22 AM »
...can be a development of the lever concept.
Leverage is related to a mechanical advantage,the usual lever:a stick,a fulcrum,two arms(long,short)and the pair effort-load.
A different shape of leverage, can be a field lever,a converter of a gravity "effort" into a rotational inertia "load",where the time factor replaces the arm's factor.
The technique is playing the time factor,so that an small energy applied over a long period of time at the input,to be converted into an useful work for a short period of time.
It can be seen as a flow of energy,a dynamic relation, between two basic physical worlds:gravity and inertia.
So,in a possible field leverage, the effort is the free fall in gravity, and the load is transffered  in the rotational inertia.
The same spare parts:stick, fulcrum, gravity mass(the support of the "effort"),inertial mass(the collector, support of the "load") and the "invisible" pair charge-discharge time.
In fact,it can be a translational to rotational energy transformer.
To make it work, self motion can be the next step...to collect gravity and to play inertia.
The hope can be simple a game, but sometimes is the only chance.

…..or playing inertia (common illustrations…) at: https://www.dreamstime.com/illustration/inertia-force.html
…..and an “uncommon” proposal /(top view) at : https://stack.imgur.com/y8N13.png
…..”suggested”  by half pipe performer/skateboard physics ( kinetic energy from potențial gravity into rotational inertia and back…but speeding up and higher)/due to momentum conservation .
..…evolving an elastic pendulum ( spring mass) into a “tumbling” variable length pendulum (spring-sliding mass-spring) on încline , so on a repeating closed loop .
