I think you should run a simulator to see the results.


The moving magnet wants to approach the iron piece which will try to pull the moving iron piece backwards - with the same force as what you "gained" by decreasing magnetic strength right behind the iron piece.


But the idea is bugging my mind :-)


EDIT: The moving iron piece will also reduce the magnetic field in front of the moving magnet - causing the moving magnet to be pulled backwards where there are stronger magnetism. I don't think this will work...

Ok. Have you experimental proofs of this? A video or something that shows a complete cycle repeating itself without additional energy input?


Good to have ideas, and explanations, but nature have the habit to outrun us most of the time when we try to put our theories (specially theories about excess energy etc) into life.


We need proof.
