Hi Freedomfuel,

Very interesting and nice post. My theory about Steven's device, although vague, is about using the Earths magnetic field as a _tool_ for extracting energy from Earth, not directly getting energy from the Earth's field alone. The Earth's field may be 1/2 gauss, but it's not the field itself of interest, but rather that what's generating that field is an enormously powerful source. It requires a tremendous amount of current to generate a 1/2 gauss field around the Earth. For example, to generate a 1/2 G field at the center of 1 meter radius requires 80 amp-turns!  To generate 1/2 G field from 1 mile radius requires 128068 amp-turns!  Can you imagine how many amp-turns is required to generate the Earths field.  Now that's not the real Earth since the Earth has an effective permeability higher than vacuum, but it's not much higher. Given the shape of Earth and splitting the magnetic field down the center gives very low effective permeability. So the numbers are off by maybe 1/5th to 1/10th.

I have no idea how true the theory is, but was going by numerous coincidences and that it seems possible. I see the Steven Marks device very similar to other solid state magnetic devices, except Steven simply uses the Earth as the source of magnetic material rather than say Metglas. :-)

Hi,

I think this is a good thread. About Geomagnetism ... there are too many scientists who _think_ they fully understand it, just like mathematicians and such from time to time post equations how magnetic material operates. This is fine, except when we look into the extreme details we see there's a universe of missing information in our understandings. It boggles my mind to understand all the effects and forces going on inside magnetic materials on the atomic scale with the nearly infinite radiation patterns, forces, and unknown effects. Geomagnetism seems as equally difficult to fully understand.

Theories about Geomagnetism are great and present theories hold up to a certain point, but not down to the nitty gritty, yet. So really there's no place that has the answers unless you want mundane answers ->

Hi Freedomfuel,

I was also having some problems. A group was spreading false information about me. Please, if anyone has read anything about me then please by all means contact me.
