Spinning steelyard...
« on: September 24, 2006, 10:39:45 AM »
...can be that common steelyard, slightly modified,so not to balance(as a weighing machine) , but to rotate, spin  continuously due to gravity only,in a self manner?!  Best Regards!/Alex

Self-flapping steelyard...
« Reply #1 on: September 29, 2006, 06:25:25 AM »
...as a "relative" of the spinning steelyard,it's a "word pictorial" of that so old common weighing device,a simple machine :fulcrum,bar/stick,fixed mass(M1),mobile mass(M2) /flapping..this time as a hinge that switches/rotates  back-before 90 *degrees. We have M1=M2 and R1<R2<R3.M1 rotates at R2,flapping hinge rotates in an alternative succession between R1 and R3.So easy for "garage people",that prefer more facts ,than words. For kids,is alike two birds in a full swinging motion:one flapping, one sleeping. This oscillating,wave-about motion of one partner acts as a "propulsion on the spot",an so old game of our first years of life.Best Regards!/Alex

Spinning two-mass system...
« Reply #2 on: October 26, 2006, 08:40:15 AM »
...is a minimal illustrative design of a hopeful self-rotating steel-yard(slightly modified,L  bended) in a gravitational potential flow:a big M1 rotating mass around a fulcrum and a small M2 translating (to and fro on the radius) and rotating mass around the same fulcrum. As wonder increases, knowledge goes farther:this time reffering to our "self-moving" pair Earth-Moon .It's a two-mass system also(that's all that we can see!), in the Sun's gravitational field(unseen but real !),as our steel-yard in our gravity field.Celestial Mechanics is magic by his "minimum  minimorum " of  "spare parts" and "maximum maximorum" of "safety":it asks for no "maintenance" for billions of our years-time.The steel-yard plays the role of the big rotating mass M1(as Earth)/long arm, and in the same time of the (gravitational) link with the small mass M2(as Moon)/in a rotational and an up-down "tidal" motion  on the small arm.So, can we collect gravitational energy/fall  with a steel-yard(a "stick"/M1 and a sliding mass M2) only?It seems wonder-working.Let's try!Let's hope! All the Bests!/Alex

Heavy hub steel-yard...

...can be a slower balancing weighing machine. If you think in a different manner, the same   tool   appears to  be an other "look",aspect of a heavy hub pendulum,or a spinning two-bodies system,if you take a look at #189   www.inter-corporate.com/forums/fieldpropulsion.engineering.html    All the Bests!/Alex
