Ok kids

New mind upgrade routine for CIA-TROLLS MH and his GOON SQUAD was finished. This is my gift for famous CIA-TROLLS TEAM.  :o

On picture below you can see new revolutionalry mind oscillogram for MH and GOON SQUAD. Programming their brain can be done with new MINDPROG from Microchip using HV nanosek impulses amplitude 50kV with 24 Hz repetition rate.  ;D  ;D

I advice MH and his CIA-TROLLS SQUAD maximality use this new mind oscillogram in all circumstances.

There should be a drinking game for this thread.  Every time you read "MIB," "CIA," or "GOON" then you have to take a shot of booze.

Good to know MileHigh: MarkE cant, this is obvious! This is another MarkE Fail!!!
EMJ really here is your chance to revise your answers.  All the insults that you are hurling will apply directly to you if you can't manage to figure out current build-up in a simple L-R circuit.  You have offered radically wrong values for both the time constant and the current at 2s.  Is this really the best you can do with two days to work on the problem?

This is the basis for the discussion.

What happens starting at two seconds?
EMJ disputes that the current builds to 1A in 2s.  (It actually takes about 2.008s to reach 1A give or take a millisecond.)  EMJ so far insists that the circuit has a 2s time constant and only builds-up 159mA in 2s.  Maybe enjoykin can take a few seconds out from dodging invisible black helicopters to help EMJ out.

You note that this circuit could even be built on the bench if you wanted to test it.  Just use two small coils.  Get you LCR meter and make sure that one coil is roughly half the inductance of the other coil.

Since you are using much smaller coils, everything becomes time-compressed and takes place much more quickly.  Hence you could use a signal generator to drive the MOSFET gate.

Keep the coils small, the currents low, and you should be okay.  This is subject to correction if I am wrong.

Then you have to figure out why you are seeing what you are seeing.  That's the most important part.

Before that it is necessary to understand at least some circuit theory.  I get the impression that EMJ is bewildered as to why the current waveform is so straight and linear when he expects it to be a rising exponential.

If Chris had good sense he would be trying to make a positive contribution to this thread and actually learn something.  He should be asking questions and in the best case scenario this would become a debate among all of the regulars that talk about coils all the time and we would let them really get into it for themselves.

Yes MarkE - To be honest I think its Highly Likely that all reading are Totally Bewildered!!!

Ok, my question for you: (? ? ?)

I will give you a few days:

There is no evidence that EMJ is going to try and improve his very wrong answers.

I will give you a few days:
You never learned matrix algebra?
Is your final answer on the time constant 2s?
Is your final answer on I1 at 2s 0.159A?

NEW MH AND GOON SQUAD OVERUNITY CIRCUIT

Keep the brain small, breath low and your output will be OU.  ;D  ;D

I must admit, I did used to think that MarkE and MileHigh were smarter than this!

Matrix Algebra: Yes - I get through a little Matrix Algebra ok. Certianly not familiar with (? ? ?) to me this = (WRF WTF WTF)

Whats going on guys? Loosing Guru and gaining a new Badge of Honour?
