MileHigh - My Answer:

Answer: the Current Source (Voltage of 4 Volts) is now applied directly across both Loops A and B which has a Total Inductance of 3H.

satisfies your question:

Question:  What happens when you remove the center connection wire?[/b]

and is correct!

Sorry Chris, that is not correct.   And also we are not changing the circuit, it is what it is.  If you want to use a related circuit to help you figure out what is going on that's perfectly fine.  The circuit that I am showing can be physically built in the real world.

Enjoykin, please discuss the circuit.

It's Unobtanium from your local neutron star.

Let's get serious Enjoykin and discuss the circuit please.

Since our residents object to MH's circuit as drawn, perhaps they can take a whack at this circuit.  Fill in the waveforms for I1 and TP2 from 7 seconds onward.

The voltage source is an ideal 1V source.
The pulse generator output has zero impedance.
The pulse generator voltage swings between 0V and 10V.
The pulse generator rise time is 100ns.
The pulse generator fall time is 100ns.
The coils have no mutual coupling.
The coils and wires have zero resistance.
The wiring has zero parasitic capacitance.
The MOSFET is as specified.

Excellent Mark, thank you.  I had something like that in the back of my mind.   Heck, you could even build that on the bench.

No.  The idiots that do not understand physics are the ones that claims all of the lies.  Take Chris for example.  He is the poster boy for not understanding something, and then calling out the very folks that are trying to educate him.

Why does he have such a problem with very simple and basic electronics questions?  You really have to ask yourself this.  It would be like someone claiming to re-write mathematics yet, can not answer what 2+2 equals.

So now who is the one who lies?  Who has made a bunch of False Claims here?  It is not MH, or MarkE, or TK or even me....it is Chris making all of those False Claims that he can not back up with even a single shred of proof of any kind.

When asked for proof or evidence, he then calls folks CIA agents or MIB or whatever.  Actually I believe Paid Shills is his favorite term.  This is a sad attempt to hide the fact that he knows not of what he speaks.  This he proves every chance he gets to post.

He can not even answer MH's simple question.  I believe this makes at least two or three simple questions that he has flubbed.

No matter, believe him and ignore hundreds of years of proven (over and over again) scientific laws and data.

Now we get to see if either of our contestants can come up with an answer that is more or less correct from what they know or what they can research.

Can we place bets on the outcome?  Based on the track record of the contestants, I would put the odds at 8 to 1 against.

Mark.E., isn't the value Tp2 incorrect on the graph ? The voltage source is 1 volt not 10 volts.

Shouldn't Tp2 drop from 1 volt to zero then rise above 1 volt due to the inductance it faces in the second coil.
