Caltech has published the first three volumes of the Feynman Lectures on Physics (a classical Physics course) online (for online reading only) here:  It teaches Physics as it was known in the early '60s by the methods of Dr. Richard Feynman which became a new global standard for such teachings for decades.  Some of the most important basics for studying Energy at any level are covered by the 4th lesson I believe.
