Tero ranta hydroxy generator design
« on: September 16, 2006, 12:28:45 AM »
Hi all,
I like the design what tero ranta came up . I have replicatet this unit with a few minor changes i reduced the size to 3x5 inches ( I did not have more solid plate material) I also cut a slot across the top instead only one hole. but overall this is a verry slick design verry compact which would be verry good for a booster. the output on 16V 10A for 8 cells in series is 1 liter per minute.
I have attached a little vid to see the unit in practical what is actually only a build on the fly.
greetings
walt

Nice system Walter !
What is about the liter/minute  gas output at what input power wattage ?

The drop of the framerate of the WMV conversion of the video
is probably due, so that you only have 15 frames/sec and not 30 frames/sec.
so you see less bubbles in the video as in realtime without the camera.
Okay, the file says 30frames/sec, but the encoder you used probably skips
every second frame and uses every 2nd frames twice, so you see
less bubbles on the video.

Am looking forward to see, what the other unit will bring with the
larger distance of the plates.
Many thanks.
Regards, Stefan.

Hi stefan,
the output of this little unit which is actually 8 plates at 1/8inch space is around 1liter /minute by 9.3A and 20V = 186Watt what is 3.1W/liter.
It is not bad for this on the fly build unit.
the smaller unit ( 3x3 inches) by 1/4 space, should bring about the same if I am right with my rough calculation.
Do you know something about the PWR units from threadmills? I got a few laying around and would like to try them for powering the cells.
I am using now my old MIG welder to power the cells it has a two way rectifier in it and if I put my little scope pan on it it shows a kind of step pyramyde form. I need to connect them to my computer to get a better picture of it. Anyway it is a pulsed DC.
ok tomorrow I will see .
greetings

Hi Walter,
many thanks for the infos.
What does PWR stand for ?
Is this a motor or generator ?

Hi stefan,
the PWR stands for the unit which generates the power from 120AC and regulates the DC motor speed in the treadmills.

Hi Walter,
What were the final figures you achieved with your hydroxy experiments?
recently i have read on some other forums of .48wh per litre being achieved. there is a device with a patent back in 1978 that did better than this...or so it what claimed.
kind regards
mark

Hi mark,
you know I am not competing and right now I am not finished and have not final numbers. Overall for me it does not matter how much power I need my goal right now is to find the best version to generate enough hydroxy to feed my generator in order to cut down on my electric bill.
After I have found the best sytem and version with the most output then I will go for cutting down the wattage.
I know so many claims are made and I have replicated quiete a few but the most are not providing what is claimed or they use such exotic material what is not affordable for me.
all what I post here is just to give some guys a little help to avoid them making the same mistakes.
greetings
