Recreational mind puzzlers
« on: July 20, 2006, 05:49:46 AM »
Off topic but hope it's funny. Being a older guy with a computer and having time on my hands off and on while waiting on parts, materials, and money plus all other types of setbacks, we goof around trying to keep the mind busy. We have a Fuzzy Logic program and a data base program. Well we ended up going over strange things like D&D and stuff in the past. We got a bunch of young conspiracy guys visiting and we filled a data base with everything they could come up with. After collecting this monstrous bit of gigo we started shuffling the base and analyzing and cross-refering info. We made adjustments that were indicated by Fuzzy (an example, moving Bigfoot into alien species) and were amazed with what we came up with. We now have a Unified Conspiracy Theory. The whole thing was supposed to be hilarious and it was but the results were a bit sobering too. Well I am mentioning this because I'd like hear what you guys do for entertainment. Surely noone in this group is daft enough to watch reality tv so I'm hoping to hear some really good ones.

Well the most dangerous governments in the order listed China-United States-France-Russia-England-Pakistan---
And the most dangerous type of groups-  Religion-Goverment-Criminal-Racial-Phsychotic-
No, it's not top secret it's just to long to go into, but one of the conclusions was The devil does exist.
and          Evil is a tangible substance.

And now I'm wondering if running that stuff does make me the king of the fruit cakes, rotflmao.

This same program told me with different data that hydrogen was the easiest to obtain alternate energy source.
It also pointed out that heat producing energy is not the most desirable type ecologically speaking and magnetic energy would be more desirable in the long run. In other words the computer says the meg is a better unit for developement. Of course heat is produced by low efficiency and you guys pushing envelopes rebuilding, you are learning to create things that run more efficiently so none of this time is wasted, it only looks like it at the moment.

Computers are a good hobby, when you get tired of the regular configuration problems and want to creat some new ones join overclockers.org, get out the ye'ol hacksaw and create some real problems. I've never done anything radical in this area but I understand the nightmares and night sweats are better than anything produced by viewing Hollywood's best stuff. The neatest thing I ever did got claimed by my oldest son that plays Everquest. I made a large case that held 3 power supplies and boards and networked them inside the case. I know, that's not very ambitious is it?

As for reality tv, I just don't see where the word reality comes in. I do see where the network is trying to produce entertainment without cost, the quality seems to suffer, this was started by the ruling that broadcast programs can't hold copywrite protection. I not only stop watching local channels, I got rid of cable too, Instead I have been spending that 60 dollars a month on previously viewed dvds. I got a large collection now and many of them I haven't watched yet. If they want to go (cheap) and they want me to watch tv again I suggest they pay tuition and set up a camera at a good college somewhere. If the class is cool enough I could become swayed to hook the tv up to something other than the dvd player. This week Hollywood home video has 3for$25, 5for$20, and 5for$15 so I threw in $5 and got 16 movies, much more entertainment than I would have ever gotten out of the cable and some day I might find time to watch them. ( If I confused you 1 wasn't in the sale, it was $10)
