Need MEG circuit help
« on: July 24, 2014, 01:23:46 AM »
Hi,

Below is a small hand drawn diagram of what I hope to be a MEG circuit that works.
I already have a split core transformer and would like input as to the way D1and D2  diodes should be marked as well as capacitors C1 and 2 polarities.

I am not sure if the INPUT coil side should be wound clockwise or counterclockwise.  The same goes for the OUPUT side of the transformer.

In any event I wish the current to flow from the input side of the transformer to the output side. ONE WAY.

I have an idea I wish to try that may make this work.

It may not work at all but with your help at least I will know that the current will be flowing in one direction as shown

Here is the diagram:

I can't see diagram.
Probably it is good idea to attach picture to your post.

There are some technical papers and suggestions from user, "Smudge" on building the MEG at this link:

Thanks for the info  I found everything I need by looking at the papers.  I saw how both coils are wound.  Also noted the direction of current flow in which I will place diodes with correct polarity.
The caps are not electrolytic so no problem there.

As I see it the INPUT side of a over unity transformer when first PULSED with an external DC source causes a voltage spike to be generated in its coil.  That spike is transferred to the OUTPUT side of the transformer where its iron core "MUST" have more  permanent magnet assistance than the INPUT core does.
Hence a larger spike will be generated by the OUTPUT. Then that spike is transferred back into the INPUT once more.  Diodes and small caps keep the voltage/current flowing only in one direction.
Since we have a closed  loop situation the process goes on resulting in a buildup of hi unknown AC voltage/ current continuously flowing inside the loop.        How does all the above sound coming from a laymen?

It describes the concept perfectly.  Unfortunately, reality ignores the concept.

These might be of interest.  The nature of the core is going to really affect the behavior; JL Naudin's replication uses a tape wound core.

I got something better a video of where I am now.  Its not completed yet but I am going to use magnetic inductance to start power it.  My stand alone OUTPUT coil is powering a small LED WITHOUT CONNECTION TO THE INPUT COIL IN THIS VIDEO.  I am not finished by a long shot and am trying something new.  Thought you might be interested in my particular MEG attempt.

Here is my YOU TUBE video which I hope works.

Hi MM
Sounds encouraging. Can't pull up the link - maybe it's not available in Canada (where I live).

Congratulations! But.... is that really something to shout about?

 ;)

(Maybe the video will give you some ideas. Try a tuning cap in parallel with your LED, you might be surprised.)

Hello,
I did some research on the MEG and I am interested in building one
On youtube you find dozens of videos and J naudin also claim to have one working ?
But where are precide instructions regarding coils etc.. Which Core , where to get?
Anyone ever managed to get a MEG working ? Flynn ?

If this is working please spread the plans so that we can change the world, please.
