I think i discover something
« on: February 20, 2014, 12:11:03 AM »
I was experimenting on Faraday generator when i was notice something strange. I have circular small magnet with metal plate on top then i hook up a two connecting wires on top of it hanging on connected on to the battery. The ends of the two wire are just touching in the metal plate and is free to move or swing. I was expecting when current flows to the connecting wire it will move according to Lorentz force, but it doesnt. Why?

Maybe the forces are too tiny? BTW if you want to use it as a reverse faraday disc, you need to apply one pole to the center/axis.

Maybe your right the magnetic field on the side of the magnet is weak that why it doesnt move but im still not convinced. I like to repeat my experiment with neos but i dont have one. Yes im using magnet with polarity in circular face.
