Self Siphoning
« on: January 20, 2014, 09:30:19 PM »
What has been missed about this concept is explained in the link.
Also, since water "evaporates" below 100C when under the effects of a vacuum, allows for
the possibility that when CO2 and H2O bond to become CH2O + O2 and subsequently, 6 aldehyde molecules then form C6H12O6 which is glucose or what is more commonly know as sugar.
Negative excitation is a basic violation of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. What has been over looked is that when a gas is expanded because the space it occupies is expanded, it becomes more energetic without increasing it's kinetic energy, hence the term Negative Excitation.
As a result, molecules less massive than chlorophyll may in fact bond to conserve their own kinetic potential by forming or creating larger molecules.
What this could allow for is the CO2 emissions from coal fired power plants to be safely reduced while generating a gas (O2) that may burn quite well. If not, the atmosphere would have a bit more oxygen in it.
As with the self siphoning set up, it could be used to desalinate water possibly for humanitarian purposes.
This is all basic engineering and for those who claim t have expertise in such matters should have no problem understanding the potential of this post.

Is this the idea that TK made a video of and then you claimed it was your idea, even though he posted the video a month prior to you making your claim?

It is not very nice to claim someone's idea as your own you know.  It is much better to come up with you own original idea, and actually test it after actually building it.

Just a thought.

  Bill,
I am sorry about that. I really am. I did not know that he was Adam Micolich. Sorry TK, it is your idea then.
I just wouldn't believe that you're a science teacher in Australia when you say that you live in Texas. After all, you did give a good understanding of this video of yours that you made.
And Thank You Bill for pointing out my mistake.

edited to add; @All, if Bill read the link, he would know that what I was discussing has nothing in common with Heron's Fountain. Somehow he and TK think because they built a couple of Heron's Fountains by following an article in an online magazine, that some how they had an original idea. I'm lost on that one but it is a claim that they make.

Get your facts straight, Jimpbo.

The record shows who claimed what, and when.

You are right tinselkoala. The record shows that you and Pirate88179 built a Heron's Fountain from an e-zine.
Neither one of you mentioned self siphoning or any other possibility. It's why after all this time, all either of you can say is that I am a bad person because I am not you.
And yet when I say by further studying the potential that I realized that it might be able to make desalination less inexpensive while allowing for coal fired power plants to convert CO2 into CH2O and O2, how did I learn that from what you and Bill built ? I didn't. Neither one of seem to know anything.
And yet Mr. Micolich takes the time to explain why Heron's Fountain works, something both you and Bill neglected to do. Why ?
I guess things in here will never change. I do find it interesting though that Stefan is concerned about the environment while you, bill and alan say any claims about pollution being a problem is a scam. I will need to remember that one.

Again, Jumpbo, you are misstating the facts. In the very first Heron's Fountain videos that I and Bill posted, we gave credit to our sources, and in subsequent videos I explained fully just how the Heron's Fountain, and my modifications of it, operate. If you want to lie about me and Pirate, at least pick something credible. Again, the record is there for anyone to check for themselves.

Now... about that "steam engine on ebay"...... let's see what you have got to say about that.

  tk,
putting a container in the bottom so it uses less water is not self siphoning. You explain nothing. That is why you and bill do nothing but harass me. I think people like you are called cyber bullies.

@All, the picture is what tk claims is his invention which might allow for self siphoning, putting a container in the bottom of a Heron's Fountain. If either him or bill knew something more than bullying, they would see that what I call self siphoning uses no such container.
So I am not sure how they can claim something without ever looking at my work unless they are nothing more than a couple of trolls out to bother somebody because they can't move forward in their work due to a lack of education.

edited to add; in reply no. 25 I posted a variation and in reply no. 26, tk posts his video. I tried working with them and all they did was attack me for it.

The big difference, that you still haven't noticed, is that MY system WORKS and your "self siphoning" DOES NOT. That's why you have only a sketch of your design sitting there on paper, but you have a screen capture of mine WORKING.

I am not involved in this debate but at least I can make one comment to put things in context.

Quote
they can't move forward in their work due to a lack of education.

You drop the word 'engineer' and 'engineering' a lot when making references to yourself.  You imply that you are educated and others aren't.  The issue is that you are feigning being an engineer.  You are a 'pretend engineer' in your online persona.  Why not just be more honest, it might make the overall debate more productive?

  MileHigh,
I guess if you consider going to school for Propulsion Engineering meaningless. I don't. I learned a lot in school and working with boilers, steam turbines and other such equipment.
tk, bill and alan from what they have told me have no schooling or experience in engineering. Could be why they dislike me, they can't keep up.

edited to add; milehigh, all bill and tk is doing is attacking me over a design that has nothing in common with heron's fountain and I'm the problem ?
Why don't they start their own thread and discuss their work ? Lack of education I guess. >To learn engineering requires doing more than flaming someone. After all, I'm supposed to do what ? Say that they realized a possible way to reduce CO2 emissions while they post that science and the environment are a couple of jokes to them ?

edited to add; I won't be posting any more work in here. It seems that cyber bullies should be given in to. After all, I have spent much time working on my various projects and see no reason to give credit for my work away to people who think they should have.
An example of this is that I have tried working with ab hammer but he wanted me to do all the work while he took all the credit. bill and tk seem to be of the same mold, just some people looking for an easy mark. And 10 years from now, they'll still be in here posting the same crap.

I just hope that Stefan sees all of your attempts at starting flame wars over here.  Folks here are busy doing real research and do not need to be distracted by your attempts at starting fights with false accusations and lies.

Well I am only expressing my opinion based on reading all of the two recent threads and interpreting what has been said.  It's like a form of Turing test.  For example, you express your opinion about nuclear plant heat output heating up the Gulf Stream:  (Edit:  I removed my reference to cooling towers.)

Quote
Water used for cooling our Nuclear power plants is warming the Gulf Stream off the coast of Florida. This means East Coast nuclear power plants. And as a result, the waters where the Titanic has sunk has gone from 28F in 1912 to around 40F.

What?  That's not confidence inspiring, not the talk of a propulsion engineer.

 milehigh,
So I guess when they raise the water temperature by 6 degrees, that's called something else ? I guess you do have to support your friends. After all, they have no work of their own to discuss, do they ?
I guess all that is left is attacking someone who is foolish enough to post work in here.

           Bye

  Bill,
It was you and tk who attacked me for trying to work with you. This self siphoning idea is a different one.
And besides, I am posting my forum where people do have build experience. And I think when you and your friends say that IMHO, I was a teenager is not called research. But I guess it is all you guys have. Kind of sad in a way that grown adults are apathetic and have no real interest in doing anything. I guess I should be thankful that I am not you.
And with any luck, my local paper will print one of my letters. After all, I am sure that Australians would not mind cheaper fresh water and who knows, maybe other people who live in Kentucky wouldn't mind knowing that emissions from coal fired power plants might be able to be cleaned up.
You see, one little thing Al Gore missed is that declining O2 in our environment might be a problem. But no one has considered that yet. Kind of why the coal thing might be more important than you think. But then, I can say you thought of turning CO2 into O2 and aldehydes to make you feel better. But how would you explain your having realized the solution for photosynthesis and Negative Excitation ?
You see, I could try to give you and tk credit for idea's, but without having worked for them, you might have trouble explaining them and why they are your idea's.
I do have better things to do and a forum where I can post my work without being harassed. As your friend milehigh says, it's not productive and you guys show no yields.   :o

Geeze MH, I guess he told you.

How dare you bring facts into the conversation?  This is the same guy that thinks the earth is running out of water.  OK.  Except for the water packs that the astronauts carried, and the water in thier fuel cells, the earth now has the same amount of water that it did at the start.  If not, where did the water go?  Oh, now the oceans are warming but, we had to rescue those learned scientists when they got stuck in the ice, even though they were hundreds of miles from where they were headed to show there was no ice?  He says the oceans (big word) are warming.  Well, the truth is, some are warming a bit, and some are cooling a bit, just like they have always done since the earth's beginning. Everything in nature is a cycle.  Up, down, North, South, hot, cold,

So, MH, please be careful about using science when speaking to this guy.  He won't get it.

Bill
