Hi, i am interested in trying to replicate Thane Heins Bi-Toroidal transformer, and a couple of other motionless systems, like Charles Flynns magnetic frames for example.
The problem is that i don´t have any clue of how to make the bi-toroidal transformer core on a budget.
So i thought that i could try to make core pieces out of magnetite, becouse i have had goodor interesting results with it before.
I guess that it would not be the optimal material for this perticular replication, but i can´t find any good information about the properties of magnetite out there.
So how have you guys made your replications, if you have?
I have an E I core from a microwave oven transformer, and i was thinking about using welding rods around it. It is a little bit bigger then i was originally planning on.
